Bio

This journal is the campaign write-up for my current Dungeons and Dragons game. My actual journal is over at

poxy_report, feel free to add me.

This blog will be/is the result of my first attempt at recording an on-going Dungeons and Dragons campaign, of which I am the DM. I'm running it in 4^th edition and currently have 6 players. The plan is for us to have a session on every second weekend, and for me to have the campaign write-up done in the time in-between. As I am currently also studying and working, the schedule might get a bit erratic at times.

About Me:
My name is Gavin and I'm a 21 year-old Drama and Education student at QUT:KG in Brisbane. I've only been playing D&D for about 4 or 5 years, and this is my second time as a DM. I don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of the rule books yet, but I feel this sometimes allows for a more free and adaptive style of gameplay. So far none of my adventures have started in a tavern.

The Setting: The campaign is set in a world of my own creating, which doesn't have a name at the present moment. So far, the players know about:

Riverthorn: Their port of origin.
Port Draven: The capital city of the human nation, Koh Fey. This is their current destination.
Immund: A small island somewhere between Riverthorn and Port Draven, and also the name of the island's one villiage.

The Characters:

Zook:
- Player: Damon
- Race: Gnome
- Class: Rogue
- Bio: Zook is a trickster of a gnome who likes nothing more than to go places that he probably shouldn't. His business in Port Draven is nobody's but his own, and his life motto seems to be: What's yours is mine, what's mine is mine, and what's his will probably be mine soon.
Kraven:
- Player: Josh
- Race: Dragonborn
- Class: Paladin
- Bio: Kraven is a Paladin of the Raven Queen and constantly seeks to be Her instrument in this world. His search has forced him into the company of Zook, and he is now posing as the gnome's servant. For how long he plans to put up with this indignity is not yet clear (Josh is running his own "character diary" over at kravendnd. I highly recommend checking it out).
Kadroban:
- Player: Eric
- Race: Teifling
- Class: Ranger
- Bio: Kadroban is an odd teifling; he chose to forgo the arcane powers that are his birthright, and decided instead to travel the world and explore its wonders. Now he is heading home to Koh Fey, for reasons he is yet to reveal.
Eliana:
- Player: Hejira
- Race: Half-Elf
- Class: Bard
- Bio: Eliana is a mysterious bard who seems to have emerged from nowhere. She seems friendly enough, but it would probably be wise for people not to underestimate her. One thing's for certain: she has a voice to die for.
Keira:
- Player: Kate
- Race: Human
- Class: Wizard
- Bio: Keira wields the deep, dark secrets of the arcane arts. Strange and mystical energies respond to her will... when she can remember exactly how she's supposed to use them. Give her time though, she's only young. Keira is headed for the Dwarvish city of Dawnhaven on a sorrowful mission.
Brin:
- Player: Sarah
- Race: Half-Orc
- Class: Barbarian
- Bio: At 6ft-something and a couple of hundred pounds, Brin is a whole lot of woman. With those looks and that great-axe, she just has to have left a swarthe of broken hearts in her wake. Brin is now headed for Port Draven where every man must simultaneously want and fear to be the one she's coming for.
